Breastival 2023
Breastival's Big Latch On is happening once again at the Ulster Museum and Botanic Gardens on Saturday 5th August
Date: Saturday 5th August
Time: 10:00 - 15:00
The award-winning family event, Breastival, is taking place again this summer from 1-7 August, coinciding with World Breastfeeding Week.
The event is all about celebrating and normalising breastfeeding as part of everyday life in Northern Ireland and across Ireland and once again they're bringing the Breastival Big Latch On to the Ulster Museum and Botanic Gardens.
This in-person, family-friendly event will be attended by Lord Mayor of Belfast Ryan Murphy and feature fun activities for babies, toddlers and young children, information stands and a space for mothers, babies, and families to meet up and feed their babies together. The goal is to empower women to feed for as long as they choose and create connections to the wider community there to support them.
Other sessions taking place at the museum on the day:
There'll be talks in the Lecture Theatre on...
- The fourth trimester: Why new born babies are only happy in your arms
- Baby sleep
- Breastfeeding your child with extra needs - challenges & solutions
- Returning to work
