With different speakers, experts and curators leading each talk, you’ll hear a variety of engaging, informative, and thought-provoking conversations, all set in various locations around the museum.
These talks are free and open to all with no reservation needed. Talks are offered on multiple dates, so there's always an opportunity to discover something new and be inspired. Wednesday 7th May | 13:00 to 13:20 | The Mbira from Zimbabwe with Agrippa Njanina
Join Agrippa Njanina for an oral history of the Mbira instrument and the Shona people of Zimbabwe. Agrippa will explore the cultural significance of this traditional instrument and its role in storytelling, spirituality, and resistance. This 20 minute talk takes place in our Troubles & Beyond exhibition, Level 0.

Delve into all things tea on International Tea Day! Our Senior Curator of Art, Kim Mawhinney, will explore the process of making teapots, with a focus on teapots made by the Belleek Pottery in Fermanagh. This 20 minute talk will take place in The George & Angela Moore Gallery of Applied Art, Level 5.
