Celebrate National Poetry Day at the Ulster Museum!
This year’s theme is ‘play’, and we’re bringing it to life with an afternoon of creativity, imagination, and fun in our Discovery Centres.
Let your imagination run free in Discover Art on Level 5. Read poems inspired by the natural world and explore the wonders that shaped them in Discover Nature on Level 3. Connect with the past through poetry, and have fun with traditional toys and games in Discover History on Level 1.
These relaxed, drop-in sessions are free and open to all. Share your creations on the day by tagging #NationalPoetryDay — we’d love to see them!

Everything you need to know about National Poetry Day at the Ulster Museum
National Poetry Day takes place on Thursday 2nd October. Our activities will take place from 14:00 to 16:30.
Drop into our Discovery Centres on Levels 1, 3 and 5 to join in with our National Poetry Day activities.
National Poetry Day is open to everyone! All ages welcome.
This event is free to attend, no booking needed.
